Eight kilowatts: headroom for EV charging
An 11-kilowatt three-phase charging station is the typical choice for home EV charging, and it spreads load across three phases at roughly 3.7 kilowatts each. Eight kilowatts of inverter rating gives margin for the house and charging to run simultaneously without overload.
The most interesting scenario is daytime charging from solar surplus. If the car is at home during the day even a few times a week, charging from the panels turns solar energy directly into kilometres driven at no cost to the grid.

Priorities between house, battery and car
An eight-kilowatt hybrid serves three competing tasks: powering the house, charging the home battery and charging the car. A sensible sequence is self-consumption first, then the home battery to its reserve level, then the car.
The home battery is your protection against an outage and should always be charged. The car, by contrast, has its own large store and tolerates an incomplete daytime charge — this logic is worth setting in the system configuration during commissioning.
Wide battery range and generator
The 100–800 volt range and three CAN channels allow battery capacity to be grown in stages, and generator support covers long winter outages when there is not enough sun to cover both the house and car charging at once.
