FOX ESS P3-6.0-SH - three-phase hybrid inverter 6 kW.
Description FOX ESS P3-6.0-SH
FOX ESS P3-6.0-SH is a three-phase hybrid inverter rated at 6 kW, two MPPT inputs, a high-voltage LiFePO₄ battery in the 100–800 V range, three CAN channels, generator support. Efficiency 97.7%, IP65, 5-year warranty.
Six kilowatts: the typical rating for a house with a heat pump
A three-phase heat pump is the most common scenario this rating is bought for. A pump for a mid-sized house draws 2–3 kilowatts continuously, and six kilowatts gives enough margin even while kitchen equipment or a water heater run at the same time.
Distributing load across three phases matters especially here: the pump's compressor creates steady baseline consumption, and even distribution across phases eases the burden on each individual line, lowering the risk of protection tripping.
Compared with the smaller 5-kilowatt model, the price difference is small, and the power margin is noticeable precisely during peak winter, when the pump's compressor works hardest.

A wide battery range for phased expansion
The 100–800 volt range allows a start with a minimal battery and gradual capacity growth once the real backup requirement becomes clear after a first winter season with the heat pump.
Three CAN channels support several independent battery stacks at once — meaning a second assembly can be added without mixing batteries of different ages on one bus.
A generator for long winter outages
A heat pump depends critically on uninterrupted power — unlike conventional heating, it does not hold warmth without electricity for more than a few hours. Generator support lets the system switch automatically to backup fuel as the battery drains during a prolonged outage.
The inverter starts the generator at a set charge level and stops it once the threshold is reached, so the house does not cool down even during multi-day winter outages.
Control and protection
The FoxCloud app shows generation per MPPT input, battery state and household consumption in real time, and Modbus TCP and RTU allow the inverter to be tied into your own smart-home system — for instance, starting an underfloor heating circuit exactly when there is solar surplus.
Type II surge protection on DC and AC, plus all-pole residual current monitoring, operate across all three phases, and the integrated DC switch removes the need for an extra box on the wall.
A compact 34-kilogram enclosure
At 34 kilograms and with reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection built in, the P3-6.0-SH mounts easily on a standard interior wall without a lifting aid, and the aluminium-alloy enclosure with passive cooling needs no ongoing fan maintenance over its service life.
Six kilowatts is the right balance for a house with a heat pump on a three-phase supply. Describe your heating circuit and house area: we will calculate the battery for your winter autonomy scenario.
