FOX ESS P3-50-Plus is a three-phase industrial hybrid inverter rated at 50 kW, the entry model in the Plus series. Four MPPT inputs of two strings each (eight strings total), a high-voltage LiFePO₄ battery in the 180–950 V range, charge and discharge current up to 240 A. Efficiency 98.5%, operation from -30 °C. A new class: an industrial cabinet instead of a wall-mounted unit
The Plus series is not a scaled-up version of a domestic or commercial unit but a separate construction: 115 kilograms, over a metre tall, 305 millimetres deep. This is an industrial power cabinet, not a unit for an ordinary technical room.
Such a step is justified only at the level of production facilities, logistics complexes or large greenhouse operations, where fifty kilowatts is baseline requirement rather than headroom for the future.
Installation requires a separate approach: lifting equipment or several installers, reinforced fixing and sufficient free space for servicing on every side.

240 amperes of exchange with the battery
A charge and discharge current up to 240 amperes with a high-voltage battery means tens of kilowatts of exchange power — far more than the inverter's own rating. In practice this means charging is never the bottleneck even within a short window of solar generation.
For an industrial site with an uneven working schedule, this allows energy to be gathered quickly in the gaps between working cycles and given back during peak production load.
Minus thirty degrees: industrial endurance
An extended operating range from -30 °C suits the unit to unheated industrial premises and to sites in northern regions without additional cabinet heating.
Intelligent air cooling switches on according to real thermal demand rather than continuously — extending fan life in a unit built for decades of continuous industrial operation.
Eight strings and parallel operation
Eight independent MPPT strings allow servicing an array split into numerous groups of differing orientation — a typical situation for complex-shaped industrial roofs.
For sites needing more than fifty kilowatts, units in the Plus series connect in parallel with automatic load distribution, delivering both scaled capacity and redundancy during servicing or a fault. The standard FoxCloud app shows generation from each of the eight strings separately, and Modbus TCP and RTU allow the station to be integrated with the business's energy metering system.
