FOX ESS P3-5.0-SH - three-phase hybrid inverter 5 kW.
Description FOX ESS P3-5.0-SH
FOX ESS P3-5.0-SH is a three-phase hybrid inverter rated at 5 kW, the entry model in the P3-SH series. Two MPPT inputs, a high-voltage LiFePO₄ battery in an ultra-wide 100–800 V range, three CAN channels, generator support. Efficiency 97.3%, IP65, 5-year warranty.
Five kilowatts on three phases: who this suits
The commonest reason to choose a three-phase hybrid even with modest load is having a three-phase supply in the house. If you already have a borehole pump, heating circulation pumps or other three-phase equipment, a single-phase inverter simply will not fit technically.
Five kilowatts is the rating for a small house or holiday home with moderate consumption: lighting, refrigerator, pump, household appliances without powerful consumers running simultaneously. The unit distributes load evenly across three phases, settling the imbalance question with the network company.
This is the most accessible entry into a three-phase FOX ESS hybrid system — the same platform as the larger models in the series, with the rating sized to real need without overpaying.

An ultra-wide battery range: 100–800 volts
This is among the widest battery operating-voltage ranges in its class. It covers practically every common architecture — from comparatively small high-voltage stacks to full-size cabinets with dozens of modules.
The practical significance: a system can start with a minimal battery and grow capacity gradually without running into the inverter's range limit. Three CAN channels allow several independent stacks to be connected, each with its own management system.
For a buyer unwilling to commit to one specific battery configuration at the outset, this headroom is a direct argument in favour of the P3-5.0-SH.
Control and integration
The FoxCloud app shows generation per MPPT input, battery state, household consumption and history over any period. Modbus TCP and RTU are available for your own automation.
Night monitoring keeps the link alive even after sunset, so battery discharge during dark hours appears on the charts in the same detail as daytime generation.
Generator support and three-phase protection
Generator support covers long winter outages, when daylight is insufficient to fully charge the battery: the inverter starts the generator automatically according to state of charge and stops it once the threshold is reached.
Type II surge protection is fitted on both sides — DC and AC — and an all-pole residual current monitoring unit plus earth-fault monitoring work across all three phases simultaneously.
Five kilowatts is an accessible entry into a three-phase hybrid system for a house with a three-phase supply. Write to us about your existing three-phase loads and desired autonomy: we will size the battery configuration to your real consumption profile.
