FOX ESS P3-12.0-SH is a three-phase hybrid inverter rated at 12 kW, a powerful model in the compact SH series. Twelve kilowatts: the top of the compact series
The P3-SH range also includes an even more powerful 15-kilowatt model with a third MPPT input and active cooling; this version is the sweet spot for most houses without paying for capacity they will not use. Twelve kilowatts covers a large household: a heat pump, a pool with filtration and heating, several air-conditioning zones running at once.
A pool is a separate case of load that is often overlooked at the planning stage. The filtration pump runs several hours a day in summer, and water heating adds several more kilowatts periodically. Together with heating from a heat pump, this forms a substantial baseline capacity requirement.
Distribution across three phases matters especially here: pool equipment, the heat pump and air conditioners can be spread across different lines, avoiding a concentration of load on one phase.

The dimensions and mass of the P3-12.0-SH match the smaller models in the series — 34 kilograms in the same enclosure. The manufacturer scales power within one power platform, so the mounting point remains identical across the whole SH range.
This has practical value when choosing a rating: if you are unsure whether ten kilowatts will be enough and lean toward twelve for margin, the switch requires no change of bracket or rework of an already prepared mounting spot.
Battery and autonomy for a large house
A 100–800 volt range and three independent CAN channels allow several battery stacks to be connected at once — for a large house with a heat pump and a pool this is often a necessity rather than a luxury.
Generator support covers long winter outages: the inverter starts the generator automatically according to state of charge and stops it once the threshold is reached, so the heat pump does not stop even during a multi-day grid fault.
