GoodWe GW6000-ES-20 - 6KW Single Phase Hybrid Inverter
Description GoodWe GW6000-ES-20
GoodWe GW6000-ES-20 — 6 kW single-phase hybrid inverter for home with storage
The GoodWe GW6000-ES-20 single-phase hybrid inverter is the “brain” of a home solar power plant with a battery. The model belongs to the ES G2 series (low-voltage, 48 V) and combines a grid-connected inverter and battery management in one housing: during the day it powers the house from the sun and charges the storage tank, in the evening it releases the stored energy, and during outages it instantly becomes a source of uninterrupted power supply. It is this connection — sun + LiFePO4 + reserve — that is most often chosen for private homes today, and the GW6000-ES-20 completes all three tasks without compromise.
A silence that cannot be heard even at night
The first thing that owners note after installation is that the inverter works absolutely silently. There are no fans here: heat is removed passively, by natural convection. In practice, this means that the GW6000-ES-20 can be quietly hung not only in the boiler room or technical room, but also in the corridor next to the bedrooms. We have installed it in the hallways of apartments more than once - and over the years of operation we have not received a single complaint about the hum that usually plagues inverters with active ventilation. The only thing that should be taken care of at the design stage is to leave free space around the case for heat dissipation and not to “brick” the device into a tight niche.
UPS level reserve: the light does not have time to blink
The main reason why this inverter is so actively purchased in Ukraine is the transition to standby mode in less than 10 milliseconds. This is faster than a light bulb can blink or a router can reboot. At one of the facilities near Cherkasy, a gas boiler with its own automation used to “fail” every time during power outages and required a manual restart - after installing the GW6000-ES-20, the boiler simply stopped noticing the network failure and continues to heat the house even during the longest outages. The same applies to computers, network equipment, a refrigerator, and circulation pumps: everything that previously suffered from sudden shutdowns now works without interruption. In essence, you get a full-fledged UPS for the entire house, not just for a separate outlet.
Two MPPT trackers: more sun from any roof
The GW6000-ES-20 is equipped with two independent MPPT trackers - and this is a detail that is underestimated until you encounter a real roof. The perfect orientation of all slopes strictly to the south is rare. On a typical gable roof, we turn one array of panels to the east, the other to the west, and each row operates at its own maximum power point. The result is a smoother generation schedule throughout the day and noticeably more production than if all the panels were “pulled” by one tracker. Tracking efficiency reaches 99.9%, and the overall inverter efficiency is up to 97.6%, so conversion losses are minimal.
Power to spare and room to grow
Six kilowatts is enough to power a well pump, boiler, air conditioner and household appliances - the inverter confidently holds the starting currents of a powerful load even in backup mode, so in the summer the air conditioner does not turn off along with the light. And when over time appetites grow - new air conditioners, an electric car or a workshop are added - the GW6000-ES-20 supports parallel connection: a second identical inverter increases the total power and strengthens the backup circuit without replacing the already installed equipment. High charge-discharge capacity of up to 120 A allows you to quickly fill capacious battery assemblies so that the battery is fully charged by the evening peak.
Smart home and honest monitoring
For those who want to not just consume energy, but also see and manage it, the inverter integrates into the smart home ecosystem. GoodWe has official integration with Home Assistant (local survey), and openHAB users establish communication through community-tested solutions. In practice, this allows you to automatically turn on a boiler or washing machine exactly when there is an excess of sun, and see the real energy balance in the application. Data exchange with the battery is carried out via the CAN bus, with the meter - via RS485, and monitoring - via Wi-Fi (if necessary, expandable to Wi-Fi+LAN or 4G).
Reliability proven under operating conditions
The IP65 housing and operating temperature range from -25 to +60 °C mean that the inverter will easily survive both the frosty winter and the July heat - it can be installed both indoors and under a canopy. The GW6000-ES-20 is compatible with a wide range of low-voltage 48-volt LiFePO4 batteries - GoodWe Lynx, as well as Pylontech, Dyness and BYD - so it is easy to choose a system to suit your budget and the required capacity. The inverter has a 5-year warranty, and maintenance is carried out by our own service center, so if necessary, you do not have to take the device to another city.
Who is the GoodWe GW6000-ES-20 suitable for?
This is a rational choice for the owner of a private house or apartment who is building a 6 kW solar power plant with storage and wants to get three things at the same time: silence, reliable reserve "like a UPS" and the ability to scale. If it is important for you that the boiler does not go out in winter, the air conditioner does not turn off in summer, and the excess solar energy does not "burn" in vain, the GoodWe GW6000-ES-20 will become the reliable heart of your system for many years to come.
