FOX ESS H1-6.0-G2-WL - single-phase hybrid inverter 6 kW.
Description FOX ESS H1-6.0-G2-WL
FOX ESS H1-6.0-G2-WL is a second-generation single-phase hybrid inverter rated at 6 kW with two MPPT inputs and a built-in Wi-Fi module. High-voltage LiFePO₄ battery 80–480 V, charge and discharge current 40 A, efficiency 97.08%, output current 27.3 A. Mass 22 kg, 5-year warranty.
Second generation: what the G2 letters change
The G2 index in the name denotes the second generation of the H1 platform. Manufacturers rarely change generations for marketing reasons — a redesign is expensive, and it happens once operating statistics from the first series have accumulated.
For the buyer this has a thoroughly practical meaning: a second-generation unit inherits proven circuitry but with its predecessor's weak points corrected. The firmware and battery-management algorithms were already refined across thousands of installed systems by the time it launched.
The WL letters at the end indicate a built-in wireless module. There is no separate Wi-Fi dongle to buy — that is both a saving and one fewer plug-in contact in a system that stands outdoors or in an unheated room.
Twenty-two kilograms against twenty-nine
Set against the larger KH-series models, this inverter is noticeably lighter — 22 kilograms versus 29. A seven-kilogram difference seems trivial only until the unit has to be lifted a metre and a half and held while someone tightens the fixings.
Twenty-two kilograms is a weight one person handles confidently. Installation becomes simpler, wall requirements relax, and during a move or a switchboard rearrangement the unit does not turn into a separate logistical problem.
For a typical house of 100–150 square metres, six kilowatts is a perfectly workable rating, and there is no sense in paying with mass and money for headroom that will never be used.

The 80-volt lower limit: why it matters
The battery range starts at 80 volts — five volts lower than on the KH series. It looks like a trifle, yet it is precisely the lower limit that determines the smallest battery stack from which the system will start at all.
In practice this allows a start with fewer modules. You install the inverter and a base battery now, then grow capacity next season once you understand your real consumption profile — and it almost always differs from what was imagined at the planning stage.
The 480-volt upper limit meanwhile leaves room for a full cabinet, so the expansion ceiling is not close.
Wi-Fi and monitoring
The built-in wireless module sends data to the manufacturer's portal: generation per MPPT, battery state of charge, consumption, and history by day and month. The app runs on a phone; no separate gateway is needed.
The most useful function of such monitoring is not watching attractive graphs but noticing deviations. If one panel group suddenly yields ten per cent less than a month ago in the same weather, that is a reason to inspect the connections or check whether a tree has grown.
The service advantage is equally clear: on a warranty call the installer sees the event log remotely and often identifies the cause without a site visit.
Six kilowatts, a high-voltage battery and Wi-Fi out of the box — a balanced option for a mid-sized house without paying for excess. Tell us how many panels you have and the autonomy you want: we will size the battery and verify compatibility with your array.
