GoodWe GW6000M-ES-20 - single-phase hybrid inverter 6 kW.
Description GoodWe GW6000M-ES-20
GoodWe GW6000M-ES-20 is a single-phase hybrid inverter rated at 6 kW for low-voltage LiFePO₄ batteries (40–60 V), the most powerful model in the M-ES series. Two independent MPPT inputs, charge and discharge current up to 60 amperes, mass 20 kg, 5-year warranty.
Six kilowatts in a hybrid system: the single-phase ceiling
For a single-phase hybrid this is the practical maximum. Beyond it, three-phase solutions are worth considering — not because the equipment does not exist, but because a single-phase arrangement starts creating problems on the network.
The reason is imbalance. A hybrid inverter not only exports energy but also draws it from the grid to charge the battery. At six kilowatts in both directions the load on one phase becomes noticeable to the network operator, particularly in dense development where neighbours share the same line.
What changes compared with the five-kilowatt model
A difference of one kilowatt looks modest, but it falls precisely on the most important area — peak loads.
Five kilowatts covers a house's ordinary life. Six provides additional headroom for unforeseen coincidences: when the water heater, washing machine and borehole pump all switch on together and somebody puts the kettle on as well. Moments like these are what most often trip a system into protection.
If your house has an air conditioner or a heat pump, the difference is felt still more: their starting current substantially exceeds the running figure, and the inverter's power headroom determines whether the compressor starts without faults.
60 amperes of charging: a sensible balance
Sixty amperes at around 48 volts is roughly 2.9 kilowatts of flow into the battery. For a six-kilowatt inverter that means charging runs at half the maximum output rate.
In practice that ratio rarely gets in the way. Panels generate throughout the daylight hours and the battery fills gradually rather than trying to gather everything within an hour. The limit becomes noticeable only when the main charging source is not the sun but the grid on a night tariff.
If that is your scenario, the GoodWe range includes SBP series models offering 100 amperes. If the battery charges predominantly from the panels, sixty is ample.

On selecting battery and supply
For a six-kilowatt system the minimum sensible storage capacity starts at twelve to fifteen kilowatt-hours. A smaller battery turns a powerful inverter into a sprinter: the system carries any load, but not for long.
The supply must be at least 32 amperes. Bear in mind that a hybrid can simultaneously power loads and charge the battery — in that mode the current drawn from the grid reaches the connection limit.
And third: the battery must accept 60 amperes of charge. For most low-voltage modules that means two parallel blocks. Check this parameter in the storage datasheet before purchase, not after.
Six kilowatts is already a serious system, and a specification error is expensive. Send us the load schedule, desired autonomy and supply rating — we will size the inverter, battery and distribution scheme together, so that all three parts match one another.
