GoodWe GW3600M-ES-20 - single-phase hybrid inverter 3.6 kW.
Description GoodWe GW3600M-ES-20
GoodWe GW3600M-ES-20 is a 3.6 kW single-phase hybrid inverter for low-voltage LiFePO₄ batteries with an operating voltage of 40–60 V. Two independent MPPT inputs, charge and discharge current up to 60 amperes, weight 20 kg, 5-year warranty.
Sixty Amps: Balanced Option
In the 3.6 kW hybrid line, this figure occupies an average position. The basic models of the EH series are limited to 25 amps, the SBP versions give 100 - here sixty.
This is not a compromise for the sake of compromise, but a reasonable match. At around 48 volts, sixty amps corresponds to about 2.9 kilowatts of flow into the battery. For a 3.6 kW inverter, this means that the charge is almost as close to the output as the system is able to replenish the reserve at a rate close to that at which it is depleting it.
One hundred amps at that capacity would be an excess that is not fully utilized anyway: 3.6 kilowatt panels physically won't produce more. And twenty-five would limit the system at the most crucial moments — when you need to charge quickly during a short window of network availability.
Two MPPT inputs in a hybrid system
Independent inputs allow you to split the array of panels into two groups. In a hybrid system, this works a little differently than in a networked system, and the difference is worth noting.
A grid-connected inverter simply feeds everything it produces into the grid, and the evenness of the schedule makes little difference. A hybrid instead charges the battery, and this is where the evenness of the energy supply becomes an advantage. Two groups of different orientations give a longer period of moderate generation instead of a short sharp peak at noon. The battery is charged gradually throughout the day, rather than trying to take it all in two hours.

What does a low-voltage circuit provide?
Batteries with 48–51.2 volts make up the majority of the market. In practice, this means freedom of choice: there are dozens of compatible models, from budget to premium, and you don't have to look for a rare position for a specific inverter.
The second advantage is gradualness. Modules are added in parallel, one at a time, without strict requirements for quantity. You can start with one 5 kWh storage unit, and add a second one in a year, when it becomes clear how much autonomy is actually needed.
Practical note on installation
Twenty kilograms for an inverter of this power is a mass typical of hybrids. The reason is the power unit, which works in two directions: both to provide power to the load and to charge the battery.
The wall must be solid — brick, concrete, or aerated concrete with through-the-wall anchors. The device is lifted by two people. And it is worth immediately providing a place for the battery nearby: with a current of 60 amperes, a long cable between the storage device and the inverter will be expensive and will increase losses.
The hybrid system is selected as a whole, not in parts. Write to us what should work during a power outage and for how many hours - we will calculate the required battery capacity and check whether its permissible charging current matches the inverter's capabilities.
