GoodWe GW8000-SDT-30 - three-phase grid-tied inverter 8 kW.
Description GoodWe GW8000-SDT-30
GoodWe GW8000-SDT-30 is a three-phase grid-tied inverter rated at 8 kW with two MPPT inputs and a maximum input voltage of 1100 V. Efficiency 98.5%, nominal output current 11.5 A per phase, protection class IP66. 5-year warranty.
Grid-tied or hybrid: an honest choice
Not every site needs a battery. If your grid is stable, outages are neither frequent nor long, and the goal is to cut the electricity bill rather than provide backup, a grid-tied inverter is the more economical choice.
The price difference between a grid-tied and a hybrid unit of the same power is substantial, and without a battery that difference goes straight into shortening the payback period. A storage unit and backup power can be added later through an AC-coupled inverter, without changing the already installed GW8000-SDT-30.
We always present both options honestly, with real payback figures for each, rather than selling a hybrid where a grid-tied solution objectively suffices.

1100 volts: headroom for long strings
A maximum input voltage of 1100 volts is higher than on the hybrid models in the ET series. That allows longer series strings of panels to be formed, particularly relevant in winter, when cold weather raises the modules' open-circuit voltage.
A longer string means lower current for the same power, which in turn means thinner cable and smaller losses on the run from the array to the inverter. For sites with a long distance between roof and technical room, this is a noticeable saving on copper.
IP66 is a class higher than the typical IP65 of the hybrid models: protection covers not only water jets from any direction but also powerful washdown under pressure. For a unit exposed to the elements, that is extra reliability margin.
Efficiency of 98.5% — the level of top-tier grid-tied units
A grid-tied inverter is simpler than a hybrid: it does not manage a battery or form its own grid in island mode. That simplicity translates directly into higher efficiency — here it exceeds the figures even of the series' flagship hybrids.
For a site where all generation goes either to self-consumption or to the grid, every tenth of a percentage point of efficiency is pure additional energy at no extra cost.
Intelligent cooling control maintains high efficiency across a wide load range rather than at one ideal point — which is exactly how the unit performs under real, variable cloud cover.
If backup power is not the priority, a grid-tied inverter gives the fastest payback on every hryvnia invested. Tell us about your site and the goal of the installation: we will choose honestly between a grid-tied and a hybrid solution, without overpaying for unneeded functions.
