GoodWe GW60K-SMT-G20 - three-phase grid-tied inverter 60 kW.
Description GoodWe GW60K-SMT-G20
GoodWe GW60K-SMT-G20 is a three-phase grid-tied inverter rated at 60 kW with six MPPT inputs of two strings each (twelve strings total), a maximum input voltage of 1100 V and passive cooling. Nominal output current 86.6 A per phase. 5-year warranty.
Twelve strings: maximum flexibility for a fragmented array
This model is a variant of the GW60KS-MT with the same power but six MPPT inputs instead of four. Twelve independent strings instead of eight is a level of flexibility not every site needs, but critical for particular scenarios.
This concerns situations where the array is split not into two or three large groups but into many small ones: several separate buildings on one site, a roof of complex shape with numerous ventilation projections, a combination of different pitches and orientations on one site.
Each additional independent input is the chance to isolate one more panel group that would otherwise either lose generation from sitting next to a different orientation, or go unused entirely.

When extra trackers are worth paying for
The price difference between an eight-string and a twelve-string model makes sense only when the site genuinely needs that level of detail. For a simple rectangular roof with a single pitch, twelve inputs is a premium without benefit, and the eight-string GW60KS-MT would be the better choice.
But for an industrial complex with several buildings, a greenhouse operation with separate blocks, or a warehouse with complex roof architecture, every extra tracker pays back in real generation that a two-tracker or even eight-string scheme would simply lose.
We always calculate both options specifically for your roof and show the difference in expected output — the decision is made on numbers, not general recommendations.
Passive cooling and reliability
Natural convection at sixty kilowatts is the same proven cooling platform as the smaller models in the series. The absence of fans removes the most common cause of power-electronics failure over years of continuous operation.
Monitoring through SEMS Portal shows generation from each of the twelve strings separately — the most detailed level of diagnostics in the range, useful precisely when there are many panel groups and you need to quickly identify which one has failed.
Parallel operation and redundancy
A maximum output current of 95.3 amperes requires checking the site's entire electrical infrastructure — cable, breaker and allocated connection capacity — just as with the GW60KS-MT. When more combined capacity is needed, units in the series connect in parallel with automatic load distribution.
This provides redundancy: if one inverter fails or needs servicing, the rest keep working, and the site does not lose generation entirely.
Twelve independent MPPT strings is the solution for sites with a maximally fragmented array. Send us a detailed plan of all roofs and buildings: we will calculate whether the extra detail is justified in your specific case.
