GoodWe GW30K-SDT-30 - three-phase grid-tied inverter 30 kW.
Description GoodWe GW30K-SDT-30
GoodWe GW30K-SDT-30 is a three-phase grid-tied inverter rated at 30 kW, the most powerful unit in the SDT series. Two MPPT inputs, maximum input voltage 1100 V, efficiency 98.5%, nominal output current 43.3 A per phase, IP66. 5-year warranty.
Thirty kilowatts — the ceiling of a single-unit grid-tied solution
This is the most powerful single-enclosure grid-tied inverter in the SDT range. At this level generation already exceeds the daytime consumption of practically any small or medium business, and the question of selling surplus to the grid stops being theoretical.
Without a battery, the entire system budget goes into generating capacity, so payback here is the shortest among all configuration options. This is the right choice for those with a stable grid whose priority is not backup power but maximum savings on bills.
If a need for backup arises in the future, an AC-coupled storage unit can be added to the already installed inverter without dismantling the DC side of the system.

Long strings and minimal cable loss
A maximum input voltage of 1100 volts allows long series strings of panels to be formed even for an array of thirty-plus kilowatts. A longer string means lower operating current at the same power — and therefore thinner, cheaper DC cable across the entire run from array to inverter.
In winter this voltage headroom is especially valuable: cold weather raises the panels' open-circuit voltage, and without sufficient margin there is a risk of exceeding the inverter's limit on a frosty, sunny morning, precisely when panel efficiency is highest.
Parallel operation for larger sites
If more than thirty kilowatts is needed, the answer is parallel operation of several GW30K-SDT-30 units. This delivers not only scaled capacity but also redundancy: if one inverter fails or needs servicing, the rest keep working.
For a site developing in stages, this also means the option to buy a second unit later, as consumption grows or extra roof area becomes available, without replacing the equipment already installed.
Monitoring and protection class
The standard SEMS Portal app shows generation from each MPPT input separately, history over any period and current efficiency. Connectivity covers both Wi-Fi and wired LAN; Modbus TCP and RTU are available for integration with commercial metering systems.
Protection class IP66 withstands powerful pressure washdown — a class above the typical IP65, giving extra reliability margin for a unit that operates outdoors for decades.
Thirty kilowatts of grid-tied generation from a single unit is the maximum the SDT series offers without a battery. Tell us about your roof area and the tariff terms for selling surplus: we will calculate the real payback period and options for parallel operation.
