GoodWe GW250KN-HT - three-phase grid-tied inverter 250 kW.
Description GoodWe GW250KN-HT
GoodWe GW250KN-HT is a utility-scale three-phase grid-tied inverter rated at 250 kW, the most powerful model of the N variant in the HT range. Six MPPT inputs of three strings each (eighteen strings total), DC voltage up to 1500 V, output 800 V without neutral. Efficiency 99.0% peak, 98.7% European weighted. Operation from -30 °C up to 5000 m. IP66, 5-year warranty.
Top power in a configuration for uniform fields
This is the most powerful model of the N variant — combining the HT range's maximum capacity (250 kilowatts) with an architecture of six large trackers of three strings each, sized for regular ground-mounted station fields without significant array fragmentation.
For a utility power plant project on flat land with the same panel orientation across the whole area, this delivers maximum capacity per unit with simplified DC cable layout compared with the base twelve-tracker model.
The minimum input current of 60 amperes indicates the strings this unit is sized for — long and powerful, typical of industrial module fields.

The fewest units per megawatt of capacity
Combining the range's highest rating with the fewest trackers gives the simplest station configuration per megawatt of installed capacity: fewer units, fewer connection points to the transformer substation, shorter cable runs.
The price is less redundancy per unit of capacity: the failure of one unit means a larger relative loss of generation than with a greater number of smaller inverters. For large stations this is offset by the sheer number of units in the array.
98.7% European efficiency: fewer conversion stages
Six large trackers instead of twelve smaller ones mean fewer internal conversion stages between panel and output. Under the uniform load of a ground-mounted station field this gives a consistent 0.2 percentage point edge over the base model — a small figure that turns into tens of megawatt-hours every year at the scale of the whole station.
Monitoring and parallel operation
The standard SEMS Portal app shows generation from each of the eighteen strings separately; Modbus TCP and RTU are available for integration with dispatch systems.
IP66 and an operating range from -30 to +60 °C allow outdoor placement on a ground-mounted station site without extra shelter.
A maximum operating altitude of 5000 metres and standby consumption below 18 watts are figures sized for decades of continuous operation within a large array without a meaningful impact on the station's own consumption.
