GoodWe GW225K-HT - three-phase grid-tied inverter 225 kW.
Description GoodWe GW225K-HT
GoodWe GW225K-HT is a utility-scale three-phase grid-tied inverter rated at 225 kW, designed for industrial-scale solar power plants. Twelve MPPT inputs of two strings each (twenty-four strings total), DC voltage up to 1500 V, output 800 V without neutral. Efficiency 99.0%, operation from -30 °C up to 5000 metres above sea level. IP66, 5-year warranty.
1500 volts DC: solar power plant architecture
This is no longer an inverter for a building but a component of a full utility-class solar power plant. DC voltage up to 1500 volts and an 800-volt output without neutral (3L/PE) mean the unit is designed to connect through a transformer substation, not directly to a building's low-voltage distribution board.
Twenty-four independent MPPT strings allow servicing an array of tens of thousands of square metres, split into numerous sections of differing pitch and orientation — a typical situation for ground-mounted station fields.
An efficiency of 99.0% is a level unreachable for smaller-class units. At power-plant scale, even a tenth of a percentage point of efficiency turns into significant money every year.

A power-plant project, not a standard installation
At this level, every site is a separate engineering project: a transformer substation, a scheme for delivering power to the grid, agreement with the energy company at the level of technical conditions rather than a standard connection application.
We support the whole design cycle of a utility station: from the technical calculation of string configuration to preparing documents for grid connection.
Altitude up to 5000 metres and temperature from -30 °C
Extended climatic ratings suit the unit to the widest variety of conditions — from flat steppe stations to sites in foothills and at significant altitude, where atmospheric pressure and temperature differ substantially from standard conditions.
Smart fan cooling is controlled automatically according to real thermal load, extending the station's service life across its full declared term.
Monitoring and parallel operation
The standard SEMS Portal app shows generation from each of the twenty-four strings separately; Modbus TCP and RTU are available for integration with power-plant dispatch systems.
For megawatt-scale and larger stations, units connect in parallel, forming an array of dozens of inverters with centralised monitoring and redundancy against a single node's failure.
225 kilowatts is the level of a utility solar power plant with its own transformer substation. Write to us about the scale of your project: we will prepare a full engineering calculation of the configuration.
