GoodWe GW125K-GT - three-phase grid-tied inverter 125 kW.
Description GoodWe GW125K-GT
GoodWe GW125K-GT is a central three-phase grid-tied inverter rated at 125 kW with ten MPPT inputs of two strings each (twenty strings total), smart fan cooling and an operating range from -30 °C. Efficiency 98.8%, nominal output current 180.4 A per phase. IP66, 5-year warranty.
Same enclosure, the power ceiling before a chassis change
The GW125K-GT carries the same 85-kilogram mass and the same enclosure as the smaller 100- and 110-kilowatt GT models. The manufacturer scales power within one power platform without changing the form factor — this is the most powerful unit in this particular enclosure.
The next step in the range, 150 kilowatts, already requires a heavier 99-kilogram chassis. That makes the GW125K-GT the optimal choice for those needing maximum power without moving to a heavier equipment class with correspondingly heavier installation and transport requirements.
For a site where the load ceiling on the bracket or lifting equipment requirements are limited, this has direct practical significance: 125 kilowatts is the ceiling obtainable without complicating installation logistics.

180 amperes: a serious supply check
Current at this level requires careful design of the station's entire electrical infrastructure: cable cross-section, breaker ratings and allocated grid connection capacity able to accept 125 kilowatts without restriction.
We always align the station's technical calculation with the connection terms at the planning stage, to avoid a situation where equipment is bought but the grid is not ready to accept the declared capacity.
Twenty strings for a fragmented array
Ten independent MPPT inputs allow servicing an array split into numerous groups of differing orientation — a typical situation for large industrial sites or ground-mounted station fields with uneven terrain.
The standard SEMS Portal app shows generation from each string separately, simplifying diagnostics and allowing quick localisation of an issue to a specific panel group.
Parallel operation and redundancy
For stations needing more than 125 kilowatts, units in the GT series connect in parallel with automatic load distribution. This scales capacity and simultaneously provides redundancy: scheduled maintenance or a fault in one unit does not stop the whole station.
IP66 protection class and longevity
IP66 withstands powerful pressure washdown — an important characteristic for a unit often housed in a technical room with elevated humidity or standing outdoors on a ground-mounted station site.
The aluminium enclosure is built for decades of continuous industrial operation without corrosion, including coastal regions and sites with elevated air humidity.
125 kilowatts is the maximum power in the more compact enclosure of the GT range. Write to us about the scale of your project and any installation constraints: we will select the optimal model without overpaying for a heavier chassis.
