GoodWe GW6000-ET-G2 - three-phase hybrid inverter 6 kW.
Description GoodWe GW6000-ET-G2
GoodWe GW6000-ET-G2 is a second-generation three-phase hybrid inverter rated at 6 kW with two MPPT inputs and a high-voltage LiFePO₄ battery at 180–600 V. Efficiency 98.2%, output current 8.7 A per phase, three CAN channels for batteries, generator support. IP65, silent operation, 5-year warranty.
Why three phases at six kilowatts
Six kilowatts is a capacity easily covered by a single-phase unit too. So the question is a fair one: why pay more for three phases when the rating is modest?
The answer lies not in capacity but in the nature of the load. If your house has a borehole pump, circulation pumps in the heating system, a compressor or a machine tool, all of those are three-phase motors. Powering them from a single-phase source is impossible without a separate converter.
The second reason is symmetry. The network company monitors phase imbalance, and single-phase generation on a three-phase supply creates exactly that imbalance. A three-phase inverter distributes power evenly and settles the matter for good.
The third is current per phase. Eight point seven amperes is a third of what a single-phase unit of the same rating would demand. Thinner cable, smaller losses, more modest requirements of the breaker.
Three CAN channels for battery stacks
The unit supports BMS communication over three independent CAN channels. That means several separate battery stacks can be connected, each with its own management system.
The practical benefit is phased expansion. You install one stack now, live with it for a season, understand the real requirement — and add a second next year without replacing the inverter.
Each stack communicates with the unit separately, so temperatures and states of charge are accounted for independently. That is sounder than paralleling batteries of different ages on one bus, where the older stack constrains the newer.

A thousand volts at the input
A maximum input voltage of 1000 volts is a specification inherited from commercial units, and in a domestic hybrid it works in your favour.
The higher the permitted string voltage, the more panels can be connected in series. A longer string means lower current for the same power, and therefore smaller cable losses and the option of thinner conductors.
For sites where the inverter stands far from the array — panels on a garage or barn roof with the switchboard in the house — this translates directly into cable savings and higher overall efficiency.
The MPP range of 200 to 850 volts remains very wide, so the system will keep working on an overcast winter day when array voltage falls.
Second generation and silence
The G2 index denotes the second generation of the ET platform. This is not a cosmetic update: by the time the second series appears, the manufacturer holds operating statistics from the first and corrects the weak points found in it.
Cooling is passive, with no fans — the specification notes separately that the unit is silent. For a three-phase hybrid that matters: it is often installed in a boiler room or a technical room adjoining the living area.
The absence of moving parts also means the absence of the most typical cause of failure in power electronics. There is simply nothing here to seize.
IP65 and a temperature range of -25 to +60 °C permit outdoor mounting, while an operating altitude up to 4000 metres indicates serious thermal headroom.
A six-kilowatt three-phase hybrid is the right choice for a house with a three-phase supply and motors about the place. Send us the list of three-phase consumers and your supply rating: we will size the battery and check whether six kilowatts suffice for your backup.
