GoodWe GW50K-ET-10 - three-phase hybrid inverter 50 kW.
Description GoodWe GW50K-ET-10
GoodWe GW50K-ET-10 is a three-phase industrial hybrid inverter rated at 50 kW with four MPPT inputs of two strings each, a battery at 200–800 V and charge/discharge power of 55 kW. Efficiency 98.1%, permitted array oversizing up to 75 kW peak, operation from -35 °C. IP65, 5-year warranty.
A new class: eight strings instead of two
At the fifty-kilowatt level the unit's architecture changes qualitatively, not merely by scale. Four MPPT inputs, each carrying two independent strings, means eight connection points for the array rather than the two to four found on the smaller models in the series.
For a site of this scale — a warehouse with a roof of several thousand square metres, an industrial workshop, a greenhouse complex — this is critical. The roof of a large building is rarely uniform: different sections, ventilation projections, areas with differing pitch or orientation.
Eight independent trackers allow the array to be spread across all these sections without losing generation on any of them. Each group works at its own optimal point regardless of its neighbours.
Array oversizing up to 75 kilowatts peak
The manufacturer states the permitted panel volume directly — 75000 W peak against the inverter's rated 50 kilowatts. That is an oversizing ratio of 1.5, and for an industrial site this is not a recommendation but an officially confirmed capability.
In practice this saves on the number of inverters: instead of two 40-kilowatt units for a 75-kilowatt-peak array, one GW50K-ET-10 suffices. Fewer units of equipment means fewer points of failure, simpler servicing, lower installation cost.
Annual generation is not sacrificed in the process: the short hours of true peak, when the unit caps output, cost far less than the additional generation in the morning, the evening and overcast weather that the enlarged array delivers.

Fifty-five kilowatts of exchange with the battery
A charge and discharge power of 55 kilowatts exceeds the inverter's own rating. That means even at full load in the building or workshop, the battery continues charging from the surplus with no restriction from the converter.
For an industrial site with an uneven working schedule — where equipment runs not continuously but in sessions — this allows energy to be gathered quickly in the gaps between working cycles and given back during peak load.
Here the battery serves as much as a power buffer as a backup source: it smooths production load peaks, reducing the demands placed on the grid supply.
Minus thirty-five and an industrial enclosure
An extended operating range from -35 °C — ten degrees lower than the smaller models in the series — suits the unit to unheated industrial premises and to sites in northern regions without additional cabinet heating.
A mass of 65 kilograms and dimensions of 520 × 660 × 260 millimetres demand a separate approach to installation: a load-bearing wall is needed, along with lifting equipment or at least two installers, and sufficient free space for servicing above and below.
Standby consumption has risen to 15 watts against under one watt in the domestic models — an expected price for power electronics of this complexity and scale, and against a fifty-kilowatt rating the figure is thoroughly negligible.
Fifty kilowatts with array oversizing up to 75 is a solution for a warehouse, a workshop or a greenhouse complex. Send us the roof plan and your production load parameters: we will calculate the tracker and battery configuration for your site.
