GoodWe GW29.9K-ET - three-phase hybrid inverter 30 kW.
Description GoodWe GW29.9K-ET
GoodWe GW29.9K-ET is a three-phase hybrid inverter rated at 29.9 kW (30 kW) with two MPPT inputs and a high-voltage LiFePO₄ battery at 180–600 V. Efficiency 98.2%, nominal output current 43.3 A per phase, three CAN channels, generator support. IP65, 5-year warranty.
Why 29.9 and not an even 30
Just as with the 9.9-kilowatt rating in the domestic segment, the same principle applies here, only at a different level: many networks set the threshold for simplified connection precisely at thirty kilowatts for small business premises.
By staying a hundred watts below that line, the GW29.9K-ET allows the technical conditions to be obtained through a shorter procedure — without extended design documentation and without lengthy coordination with the network's dispatch service.
For a business, a difference of a hundred watts is operationally imperceptible, while the difference in connection timeline is weeks, sometimes months, of time saved. That is exactly why manufacturers deliberately keep such an intermediate rating in the range.

A metal-and-plastic enclosure: what it means
Unlike the smaller models in the series with a solid aluminium enclosure, this one is built from a combination of metal and plastic. This is not cost-cutting but an engineering choice suited to a greater heat flow and higher-volume production of the range's top model.
The power elements that generate most of the heat are still mounted to the metal heatsink. Plastic panels are used where heat dissipation is not critical — standard practice for powerful inverters, and it in no way affects reliability or the IP65 protection class.
The dimensions remain the same as the smaller models in the series — 415 by 516 millimetres — so the mounting point and bracket are fully compatible.
Thirty kilowatts — the ceiling for sites with elevated consumption
This is the most powerful single-enclosure unit in the ET series, and at this level it covers the great majority of small and medium business premises: a supermarket, a hotel with 15–20 rooms, a production workshop with several machine tools running at once.
If more is needed, the answer is parallel operation of several such inverters. GoodWe supports that configuration as standard, and a system of two or three units scales capacity without stepping up to heavier industrial equipment.
The advantage of that approach is redundancy. If one inverter fails, the rest continue working, and the site does not lose all generation while a repair is carried out.
Three CAN channels at the top rating
At close to thirty kilowatts of generation, the battery usually consists of several stacks, and three independent CAN channels allow them to be managed without compromise.
For a site of this scale the typical scenario is phased capacity growth over the first year or two of operation, once the real consumption profile becomes clear from the meter readings rather than from design-stage forecasts.
Almost thirty kilowatts with simplified connection — a solution for a business that wants maximum capacity without bureaucratic delay. Send us your consumption profile and current technical conditions: we will check whether you qualify for the simplified procedure.
