GoodWe GW15K-ET - three-phase hybrid inverter 15 kW.
Description GoodWe GW15K-ET
GoodWe GW15K-ET is a three-phase hybrid inverter rated at 15 kW with two MPPT inputs and a high-voltage LiFePO₄ battery at 180–600 V. Efficiency 98.2%, nominal output current 21.7 A per phase, three CAN channels, generator support. IP65, passive cooling, 5-year warranty.
Fifteen kilowatts: the edge of domestic and the start of commercial
This rating sits at the border of two worlds. For a private house, fifteen kilowatts is already a serious margin, able to cover even a large house with a pool and a workshop. For a small business, it is a baseline operating capacity.
Typical scenarios: a large house over 300 square metres with a heat pump and underfloor heating; a small production unit; a café or bakery with refrigeration and baking equipment; a farm with a milking parlour or livestock building ventilation.
The common trait of all these sites is several powerful consumers running simultaneously. That is exactly why five or even ten kilowatts is not enough for them: a single compressor or a single underfloor heating zone already takes a noticeable share of the rating.
A heat pump for a large house
A ground-source or air-source pump for a house over 300 square metres can draw 5–7 kilowatts continuously on the coldest days, with a short surge above rating when the compressor starts.
Fifteen kilowatts gives margin that covers this even while the water heater, kitchen equipment and the whole house's lighting run at the same time. This is precisely the case where saving on the rating turns into real trouble in winter.
For a house this size, two heating circuits or two temperature-control zones are also common, each with its own circulation pump. Together these 'small' loads add up to a substantial baseline demand.

Same enclosure, greater energy flow
The dimensions and mass of the GW15K-ET fully match the smaller models in the ET series — the same 24 kilograms and 415 × 516 × 180 millimetres. The manufacturer scales power within a single platform without changing the form factor.
The practical benefit is uniformity of servicing: the bracket, the space in the switchboard and the cable entry type are identical across the range, so replacement or upgrade requires no rework of the mounting point.
The flip side is less thermal headroom per kilowatt of output. For a unit at this level, the mounting location deserves particular care: a ventilated recess, a north or east wall, and no direct midday sun in summer.
Three CAN channels for commercial scale
At the fifteen-kilowatt generation level, the battery is rarely confined to a single stack. Three independent CAN channels allow several assemblies to be connected at once or capacity to be grown in stages, without mixing batteries of different ages on one bus.
For a commercial site this means the option to start with the minimum capacity needed and expand the system alongside business growth — without replacing the inverter and without reworking what is already installed.
Each stack reports its own temperature and state of charge separately, so diagnosing a fault is confined to a specific module rather than the whole battery system.
Fifteen kilowatts is the level at which a house or a small business gains genuine energy independence. Describe your site and the operating schedule of your heavy equipment: we will calculate the battery configuration and check the phase load balance.
