Description Reolink RLN8-410 (NVS8)
Reolink RLN8-410 (also known as the NVS8 kit in the Reolink line) is an 8-channel network video recorder with PoE support, designed for owners who want to assemble a video surveillance system without a separate power supply for each camera and without confusion in compatibility settings.
One cable per camera — both power and signal
The recorder has 8 PoE ports with automatic detection of connected equipment, so each Reolink PoE camera is connected with a single patch cord - the recorder immediately supplies power and receives the video stream. This removes separate power supplies from the wiring diagram near each camera, reduces the number of points of failure and simplifies system maintenance in the future: you can see which camera is "down" immediately by the port indication.
Up to 12 cameras in one system
Despite having eight physical PoE ports, the recorder supports up to 12 cameras simultaneously: eight via PoE ports and up to four more Reolink wireless cameras via Wi-Fi, or twelve completely wireless cameras without any communication cables. This gives flexibility when expanding the system - you can start with a few cameras at the entrance and entrance, and later add a wireless camera to monitor the yard without laying new cables throughout the house.
Expandable archive space
The recorder comes with a pre-installed hard drive and supports storage expansion with an additional SATA drive and an external drive via eSATA - up to 16 TB in total. In practice, this means that the archive depth (how many days of recording are stored before overwriting) can be increased over time without changing the recorder itself or transferring the system to new equipment. Support for recording resolutions up to ultra-high 4K and higher allows you to use modern Reolink cameras with 8 and 12 MP matrices with the recorder without losing detail when viewing.
Management without technical knowledge
The system is managed via the proprietary application and the Reolink client on a computer - the interface is designed so that the first setup takes minutes, not hours of reading instructions. Live viewing, access to the archive, and export of a recording fragment are available both from the local network and remotely via a mobile phone, which is convenient for owners who want to check the status of the object while away from home.
