PoE and cloud service support

12 V power over PoE 802.3af means a single cable runs to the mounting point with no separate power adapter nearby. The camera connects to the Imou Life app on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, and supports the ONVIF protocol for integration with third-party surveillance systems and Home Assistant — handy if the owner already runs a smart home on a different platform.

IP65 protection for indoor and outdoor mounting

A plastic housing rated IP65 lets the camera go up either under a canopy or on an exposed wall — the manufacturer lists it explicitly for both indoor and outdoor mounting. At 237×172×317 mm, the dimensions reflect the housing type with an integrated spotlight, so it's worth checking beforehand that there's enough facade space for the installation.
