Solplanet ASW5120-LB-G3 10K - LIFEPO4 rechargeable battery with automatic fire extinguishing system
Description Solplanet ASW5120-LB-G3 10К
The Solplanet Ai-LB-G3 ASW5120-LB-G3 10 kWh LiFePO4 battery is a ready-made power bank for home or business, assembled on the basis of two 5.12 kWh modules and a separate base. The system is designed specifically to work with Solplanet hybrid inverters and provides real energy autonomy during grid outages.
Design and technical logic
The battery is based on two ASW5120-LB-G3 low-voltage modules of 5.12 kWh each (nominal), which are assembled "into a tower" on a metal base. The base is purchased separately, provides rigid fixation, correct weight distribution, and prepared attachment points for cables and grounding.
The total nominal capacity of the system is 10.24 kWh, useful capacity is about 9.72 kWh at 95% depth of discharge. Nominal voltage is 51.2 V, operating range is 40–58.4 V. This is a safe low-voltage architecture based on LiFePO₄ cells with a life of up to 6000 cycles with daily use.
The recommended charge/discharge current for a 10 kWh configuration is 120 A, nominal power is about 6.14 kW, peak power is up to 10.24 kW. This means that the battery can normally support the simultaneous operation of pumps, refrigerators, circulation pumps, lighting, Internet equipment, and part of the outlet groups.
Safety and reliability
The battery is built on LiFePO₄, a chemistry with high thermal stability and minimal ignition risks compared to classic NMC batteries. Inside, a full-fledged BMS operates with accurate SOC measurement, protection against overvoltage, deep discharge, overheating and overcurrent.
ASW5120-LB-G3 has IP66, indoor and outdoor installation is allowed, provided that the connectors are protected from direct water and the temperature ranges are observed: charge from approximately -8 to +58 °C, discharge from -18 to +58 °C. Cooling is natural convection, without fans, so there is no additional noise and dust inside the case.
The ASW5120-LB-G3 series implements an integrated fire extinguishing system, a dual-fuse MOSFET, and a “smart” BMS that gives the installer accurate diagnostics of the status of each module.
Scalability and compatibility
The 10 kWh battery is just one configuration option. The system allows you to add up to four modules (20.48 kWh per tower) without changing the inverter, which is convenient when you start with a basic kit and expand as your consumption grows.
Ai-LB-G3 is designed as a "native" battery for Solplanet hybrid inverters ( ASW H-S2, H-T2/T3 series, etc.), which simplifies the configuration of communication protocols, correct SOC accounting, and operation in UPS mode with switching times in milliseconds (depending on the inverter).
Recommended usage scenarios
-
Home solar power plant with storage
-
daytime generation is stored in the battery and used in the evening and at night;
-
reduction in the purchase of electricity at a high tariff;
-
the ability to transfer critical load groups to virtually off-grid mode during peak hours.
-
-
Backup power during outages
-
stable operation of the boiler, pumps, security system, router, lighting;
-
the ability to briefly power more "heavy" consumers - for example, a refrigerator, freezer, circulation pumps of a heat pump or solid fuel boiler.
-
-
Small business, office, mini-data center
-
support for POS terminals, servers, network equipment, video surveillance systems;
-
avoiding downtime and data loss due to sudden outages.
-
-
Cottages, warehouses, remote sites
-
working with a hybrid inverter as a central node: during the day - power from the solar power plant, surpluses - in the battery; at night - from the battery, and the network is used as a backup.
-
Installation conditions through the eyes of an engineer
-
Installation is performed by a certified electrician or PV installer , in compliance with the requirements of the Solplanet instructions and local PUE standards.
-
The base is placed on a flat, hard surface or attached to the wall; the modules are carefully placed one on top of the other and secured with standard elements.
-
High-quality grounding and the use of conductors of appropriate cross-section between the battery and the inverter are mandatory.
-
It is necessary to provide free space in front of the battery for ventilation and service, and not to place it close to walls or heating radiators.
-
For outdoor installation - protection from direct precipitation on the terminals, no "pockets" for water and snow accumulation, normal air circulation.
What problems does Solplanet ASW5120-LB-G3 10 kWh solve?
-
Frequent power outages. A battery covers the basic needs of a home or small business for light, heat, communication and security even during prolonged outages.
-
High night/peak tariff. Allows you to consume your own cheap solar energy, rather than buying expensive from the grid.
-
Unstable voltage and grid "sags". Together with the hybrid inverter, the battery smooths out surges, supporting sensitive electronics from its own stable source.
-
System development without reworking the entire solar power plant. You can start with 10 kWh and later add 1–2 more modules to 15–20 kWh without replacing the inverter and cable architecture.
In short, Solplanet ASW5120-LB-G3 10 kWh is not just a “battery cabinet”, but a well-thought-out modular energy bank with a long service life, a high level of safety and a clear operating scenario in a modern hybrid solar power plant. Such a kit provides tangible freedom from an unstable network and allows you to truly use the potential of your own solar station.
